A forgotten (but recoverable!) itinerary

Close your eyes for a moment. Imagine a green meadow stretching as far as the eye can see, a stream flowing slowly between rocks, the wind caressing the trees, and the birds singing accompanying your thoughts. Beautiful, isn’t it? This is the world of nature and natural landscapes, the wonder that, sadly, has been lost today.

We live in an age where everything is digital: sunsets are watched on Instagram and TikTok, walks are taken with Google Maps, and mountains are only climbed in some video game. But we’re forgetting true nature, the kind that gets your shoes dirty and fills your heart. Yet natural landscapes are much more than “beautiful places to see”: they are places that speak to our soul. A silent valley teaches you patience, a dense forest inspires curiosity, a deserted beach makes you feel free.

Nature isn’t just a backdrop: it’s the protagonist, and it’s often what reminds us who we are. How many times, walking in the mountains or losing yourself along the paths of a park, have you experienced a sense of peace that no shopping mall can ever provide? The scent of rain, the rustle of leaves underfoot, the sight of a sunset that seems painted… these are emotions that cost nothing but are worth so much.

But today? Today we often prefer the screen to reality. This is what we’ve lost: the time to marvel, to breathe deeply, to be quiet and listen to nature speak to us. Rushing has made us forget the beauty of an open landscape, a hill in bloom, a lake in the early morning.

Fortunately, however, nature holds no grudges. It’s there, waiting for us. Even if we don’t seek it, it continues to bloom, changing with the seasons, gifting us with incredible spectacles. All we need to do is take the time, go out, look, walk… truly live. So, the advice is simple: rediscover nature.

Take a walk in a park, plan a trip to the mountains, watch a sunset without thinking about photographing it. Be amazed by the colors, the scents, the simplicity of the natural world. Because nature isn’t just a beautiful childhood memory or a vacation destination. It’s a life companion, a place you can always return to. And above all, it’s one of the few things in the world that asks nothing of you, but gives you everything. Let’s rediscover it. Because yes, this is what’s been lost these days… but it’s not too late to start over.

In an ever-faster world, reconnecting with nature is a revolutionary gesture. You don’t have to go far: just open your eyes, slow down, and rediscover the beauty that surrounds us. Natural landscapes speak to us with a silent yet powerful language, one that can heal, inspire, and make us feel alive. Perhaps this has been lost nowadays… but we can still choose it. All it takes is a step away from our routine to rediscover that profound connection with the earth, with ourselves, and with what truly matters. Nature awaits us: let’s listen to it again.
